May 2, 2025

Still have spots to fill? Whether you're halfway through the enrollment period or simply trying to boost last-minute enrollments, this Summer Camp Playbook will help you fill rosters fast. Learn how to make the most of the camps with expert tips from Stacy Rowe and tools from iClassPro.

Stacy Rowe, owner of Premier Athletics and a longtime iClassPro customer, has mastered the art of building camps that are both high-energy for kids and high-impact for business. In our exclusive Let’s Talk Pro webinar, she shares her top strategies and we've pulled together a few highlights below.

Summer Camps Are a Revenue Boosting Opportunity

Summer isn’t just a break from school! It’s a golden opportunity for your business. With regular class schedules slowing down, parents look for engaging ways to keep their kids active and entertained.

Camps fill the gap well. They offer flexible programs to attract new families, keep current students engaged, and improve your profits.

Revenue benefits to consider:

Daily drop-in rates: Higher than regular class fees, even for shorter sessions.

Multi-child enrollments: Parents often sign up siblings, increasing per-household revenue.

Add-on income: From T-shirts and snacks to extended care and lunch packages, extras can significantly bump your earnings.

Cross-promotion: Camps are an excellent intro to your main programs. Offer camp-only families a discount on enrolling in your regular classes to build long-term value.

PRO TIP:  Use iClassPro to review which camps still have room and compare with last year’s data. Create flash promotions around your most popular themes or timeframes to boost last-minute signups. Stacy suggests staying aware of trends and adjusting camps to fit parent needs. This includes early start times for working families and half-day options for preschoolers.

Customize Camp Themes

A successful summer starts with enticing themes. Stacy believes every great camp has one thing in common: it captures the imagination of both kids and parents.

Creative ideas that drive excitement and enrollments:

Pop Culture Camps: Tap into the trends including social, movies, TV shows, or viral games. Think “Frozen Adventures,” “Super Mario Obstacle Camp,” or “The Taylor Swift Era.”

Skill-Based Themes: Combine fun with skill development. Camps like “Cartwheel Bootcamp,” “Ninja Warrior Training,” or “Swim Like a Shark” appeal to goal-oriented families.

Themed Dress-Up Days: Add daily costume themes like Pajama Day or Superhero Day to increase the fun factor.

PRO TIP: Adjust existing camp themes based on what’s trending now. Promote them with fresh graphics and limited-time discounts. You can even bundle packages, like “Pick Any 3 Camps and Save,” to boost both commitment and revenue.
